Colin Sipos is a Nashville-based production sound mixer, sound designer, and audio mix engineer with 20 years of experience in advertising, film, and branded content. He partners with agencies, production companies, filmmakers, and brands to capture clear, natural dialogue on set and create thoughtful, engaging sound through post-production and final mix.

 

Colin loves figuring out what a client is hearing in their head and helping bring it to life. Sometimes that means building a rich soundscape. Sometimes it’s a subtle shift in pacing, the texture of a voice, or knowing when to leave a moment alone. He brings a musician’s ear, a designer’s sense of intention, and the technical experience to turn those instincts into work that connects with audiences and makes clients proud.

 

Just as much care goes into the collaboration. On set and in the studio, Colin brings a calm presence, clear communication, and a sense of humor. He helps people feel comfortable behind the microphone and confident in the process. Years of working under tight advertising deadlines have taught him to make decisions quickly, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and deliver on time with care and attention to detail.

 

Before moving to Nashville, Colin spent 16 years in Chicago, including 13 years at Earhole Studios. His work spanned voiceover recording, sound design, final mixing, and commercial composition for agencies including Ogilvy and Leo Burnett and brands including Dodge Ram and P.F. Chang’s. Working closely with producers, creatives, and talent gave him a deep appreciation for how sound serves both the story and the people responsible for telling it.

Today, he works on location and from his Nashville studio, supporting everything from interviews and corporate films to national advertising campaigns. Clients can bring him in for a single stage or collaborate from production through post, with an experienced partner who understands how decisions on set carry through to the final mix.
